Jobs for 3500 displaced persons soon in Maharashtra says Chandrashekhar bawankule
Jobs will be provided to over 3,500 displaced persons whose land was acquired by Mahavitaran and other agencies under ‘Kaushal Pragati Yojana’, said guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference at the collector’s office, Bawankule said that the skill development scheme has been aimed at providing displaced persons basic necessities until they find rightful employment. There is no age limit in the current scheme and people will be placed under technical and non-technical categories. Those who have passed Standard XII examination will get training in engineering, electrical, nursing and other courses. They will receive a salary of Rs7,500 which will increase by Rs500 each year subject to a maximum of Rs10, 000. Unskilled labourers from Standard VII to XII will be given a salary of Rs6,000,” he said.
